Care guide / Tech Armor Gear

Care is cheaper than replacement.

Simple maintenance for cases, cables and the surfaces that collect the most everyday residue.

Tablet case and earbuds being kept on a clean work surface

Clean the case, not just the screen.

Remove the device before cleaning its case. For silicone or TPU, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and a small amount of mild soap. Wipe again with clean water, then let the case dry fully before reinstalling the device. Avoid soaking seams, adhesives or decorative layers.

For leather or coated materials, follow the maker's specific care instructions. Household solvents, abrasive powders and alcohol-heavy sprays can change the finish even when the case still looks clean after the first use.

Inspect the stress points

Every month, check the corners, camera opening and button covers. A split at a corner can grow quickly because that area absorbs impact. Cables deserve the same check: look for exposed braid, a loose connector shell or heat discoloration. Retire a cable that is hot, intermittent or physically damaged.

Storage between trips

Keep spare cables loosely coiled with a hook-and-loop tie. Store small accessories away from keys and coins. If a case is not in use, keep it flat and out of prolonged direct sunlight; heat can accelerate deformation in flexible plastics.
